9 Properties, 2 Agents, 1 Auction

Josh Saliba & Thomas Merriman

As you know we have recently co-listed 9 properties on Mount Pleasant Avenue in Normanhurst with Thomas Merriman from Ray White Upper North Shore. These properties are owned by the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, they lease these homes back to nurses, doctors and students that work at the Sydney Adventist Hospital and attend university at ANU (Avondale University Church) for lower rentals to assist with housing.

Seventh-Day Adventist Church

The church currently own 45 properties within the Wahroonga Estate and began their plans for development back in 2006 as their current apartment building, housing nurses and students was built years ago and due renovation. In 2010 the concert plan had been finalized and the decision was made to start planning the construction of the new apartments that are to be built on The Comenarra Parkway & Fox Valley Road. With this being said they needed the funding and thus decided to sell 9 of their properties on Mount Pleasant Avenue.

64 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Normanhurst

The plan is to build 186 modern studio apartments to house 126 doctors, nurses and students, to assist them with cheaper housing as affordability within the area is not easily met. These apartments will also be home to doctors that travel and are in need of accommodation when working at the hospital.

The properties co-listed by Josh Saliba and Thomas Merriman will be going to auction on the 1st of December from 5pm onward, this is an auction not to be missed as there is a 930sqm parcel of land that will be auctioned with a reserve of $1! Further to this we reached out to Andy & Deb, 2019 winners from the hit TV series ‘The Block’ to secure a complimentary 2 hour design consultation for each of the purchasers of the 8 homes on the street.
